Encouraging healthy lifestyles is a key part of our business culture and we are proud to extend this through our CSR agenda to our sponsorship and encouragement of young people in sport and other worthwhile activities.

We organised a poster competition to promote a healthy message for local schools in conjunction with Wharfedale Newspapers.

Maria Campean aged 9 and Hana Habib aged 7, the two winners both from Bradford Girls Grammar School, pictured with Charles Tweed and Editor, Sheena Stavert, received art packs and STG handed over a cheque for £1000 to the school, which they plan to use the school’s ‘healthy garden’.
 

We are proud to be sponsoring one of the rising stars of British tennis, Peter Ashley. Born in 1996, Peter is continuing to progress and remains dedicated to achieving the highest levels as a tennis player – he is winning prestigious tournaments both in the UK and Europe.

For the second year, we extended our sponsorship to Stalybridge Celtic under-11s, who have enjoyed further success on the field - winning the league and being seen on the new Setanta TV channel.

We have also increased our community sponsorship to two further junior football teams - Altofts Under-6s and Osset Town Juniors.
