New build of eight affordable homes

General site clearance and build of 8 four-person and five-person houses with external works. Construction was in brick, blockwork, and block/beam flooring, and fitting-out including kitchens and bathrooms. External works included dry stone walling and sensitive landscaping to fit in with the character of this rural area.

Highlights

The site is in a conservation area, and was the first affordable housing scheme in the Yorkshire Dales National Parks for several years. The scheme met with heated debate at a local level before planning approval was given.
