Our work in social and affordable housing, with RSLs and local authorities has provided a significant amount of activity for our business and has included new build, refurbishment and maintenance. This sector is a key area of focus for our continued business expansion and growth into other geographical areas.

We are now providing all homes to a minimum standard of sustainable code 3 and more so to sustainable code 4. We’re achieving this by the use of MMC, sustainable products, renewable energy sources and better methods of construction.

We have been awarded a number of long-term framework agreements with RSLs and local authorities. By working closely with these organisations, we have been able to introduce variety of innovative initiatives including:

    * Sustainable housing - 'building more for less'
    * using Modern Methods of Construction
    * Open-book accounting
    * Reducing buildings' carbon footprints
    * Bundling services
    * Employing local labour
    * Providing additional benefits to the communities we are working in

We have developed many customer care initiatives whilst working in occupied areas and premises and have adopted working practices that take account of the sensitivities and challenges that many of the tenants face.
