Retail and residential new-build development

Construction of a new-build mixed-use scheme, providing two ground-floor retail units and 20 self-contained apartments over two storeys. Works included substructure, groundwork and the installation of new incoming services. The structural steel frame has blockwork and stonework to elevations. The work was completed with internal finishes to residential units and external works.

Highlights

A large prestigious project. Preparation of the site including removing underground fuel tanks, soil de-contamination and on two occasions, bombs, believed to be from World War Two, were discovered and halted work whilst the Army Bomb Disposal Unit were able to disable the devices.
