Strategic Contract Win with Methodist Ministers

Strategic Team Group (STG), one of the UK’s fastest growing suppliers of building and property solutions, has won a contract with Methodist Ministers’ Housing Society (MMHS) which will be worth £150k per annum.

The contract will involve the provision of planned and reactive maintenance services as well as repairs and refurbishment works on a number of vacant properties owned by MMHS.
As part of the contract STG will supply a full range of building services including internally updating and redecorating a number of the vacant properties. The company will utilise the services of Strategic Team Maintenance and Strategic Mechanical and Electrical, two of the group’s associate companies, to provide the minor works maintenance services and to ensure any re-wiring or electrical works are carried out safely.

The homes which form part of the contract will be located throughout the North of England and Scotland and are provided by the MMHS for retired Methodist Ministers and their spouses and widows/widowers on their retirement from full time ministry.

The Methodist Ministers’ Housing Society was established in 1948 when a large house left to the Society at Barrow on Trent was converted into twenty flats for ministers who had retired from active ministry. The Society now has over nine hundred dwellings.

Charles Tweed, Business Development Director at STG, commented: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract. Our experience of working in the Social Housing sector means that we have a great deal of expertise in maintenance service provision and of refurbishment work. By utilising our associated companies we are confident that we will be able to work in partnership with Methodist Ministers to provide a cost effective and comprehensive service.”
