Strategic Team Group (STG), one of the UK’s fastest growing suppliers of building and property solutions, has successfully completed a £205K contract with Ridings Housing Association (RHA) for the complete window replacement of forty two properties in Leeds 7 and 8.

The contract, part of an urban regeneration scheme coordinated by RHA, involved replacing all timber and single glazed windows in the Georgian terraced properties with new timber double glazed windows to a high specification. The windows use timber from renewable sources  in line with the Association’s Green Policy. Residents of the 42 houses involved in the project will now feel the benefits of improved warmth and reduced fuel costs. 

As part of the project, STG were responsible for ensuring that the work was sympathetic to the original aesthetics of the properties and preserved the style of all houses whilst adding the windows.

The Ridings Housing Association, now called Connect Housing, is one of the biggest providers of housing and support for people in housing need in the Leeds area. It caters for a diverse range of housing needs, including families, the elderly, students and couples. Working in the West Yorkshire area RHA provide an extensive range of affordable homes for rent and for sale and, under a scheme sponsored by Leeds City Council, they can also offer ‘floating support’ to many tenants in their own homes.

All tenants were supported throughout the project by both the Association and STG team members, and schedules of work were produced to keep residents informed of progress to minimise disruption.

The customer satisfaction scores were very high on this project in particular  and the STG Site Manager who quickly gained the trust of the tenants and did everything possible to make the scheme a success.”
