Following the huge success of its first charity gala dinner in May last year, which resulted in nearly £30,000 being raised for Cancer Research UK, Yorkshire based building contractors, Strategic Team Group, today announces that it is to host a second charity event on Saturday 26th April 2008, in the new Saviles Hall at the Royal Armouries, Leeds. The company has set an ambitious target and aims to raise over £40,000 for the British Heart Foundation.

Over 500 guests from the Yorkshire business and construction communities will be attending the Olympic themed charity event, which will be hosted by TV and radio presenter, Don Maclean.  Entertainment on the night will be provided by soul diva, Janet Jaye and an ABBA tribute band plus of course fine food and wine, dancing and fundraising activities. 

Strategic Team Group has chosen to support the British Heart Foundation, who carry out pioneering research, vital prevention activity and quality care and support for everyone living with heart disease.  The highlight of the evening will be the charity auction, with donated items including a snow & ice trekking activities in Lapland, seven nights stay in a luxury three bed lodge in Canmore, Canada, a dinner party for eight guests prepared by a top chef from one of Leeds’ most glamorous and sophisticated Italian restaurants, Bibis Italianissimo plus many more.

Commenting on the event, Charles Tweed, Strategic Team Group business development director said:
“We have really raised the game this year and have set a rather ambitious target of raising £40,000 on the night for the British Heart Foundation.  We’ve had a fantastic response from our professional services providers, clients, contractors and all our staff in terms of sponsorship, donating auction prizes and ticket sales, so we are confident that it’s going to be a huge success on the night.  Tickets are still available but we’re fast approaching the deadline, so act quick if you want to attend what is set to be one of the biggest fundraising nights in Leeds.”
