£5m affordable homes work boosts Strategic Team Group

Yorkshire’s affordable homes providers have helped boost Castleford based building contractor, Strategic Team Group’s, order books with new contracts secured within the last three months valued at £5 million.

The firm, which specialises in new build, refurbishment and maintenance has long been a key player in the improvement of the region’s social & affordable housing stock.  The contracts, all results of new client wins, will see Strategic Team Group working on a residential new build and part refurbishment in Headingley, Leeds and conversion of a six storey Victorian property into apartments in Whitby for Leeds & Yorkshire Housing Association, which owns and manages over 1,000 quality affordable homes, principally in the Leeds area.  Repairs and maintenance work on over 250 properties across the north of England as part of a four year framework deal for Stonham, part of Home Group, one of the leading providers of affordable and supported housing in the UK.  Plus improvements and repairs to properties in Starbeck, Harrogate on behalf of Harrogate Families Housing Association.

Andy Watson, Strategic Team Group’s managing director said:
“We are in a fortunate position in that a large percentage of our work is in the public sector and our excellent reputation with clients has lead to continuity of work.

“Whilst our order books for the foreseeable future look healthy, we are in an increasingly demanding market and must continue to offer exemplary services to our customers.  We remain totally committed to our core purpose of delivering building solutions encompassing new build, refurbishment, fit-out, small works and maintenance despite what is likely to continue to be a tough operating environment.”
