Four Wheeled Signing For Featherstone Rovers

Co-operative Championship league side, Featherstone Rovers welcomes a dynamic new signing from local building contractors, Strategic Team Group in the form of a new 14-seater Ford Transit mini bus, which will be used by the club¹s, community development team.

The new minibus, donated by Strategic Team Group, will provide much needed transport for the expanding community team as they deliver sports coaching and performing arts programmes across the Wakefield District schools, colleges and deprived social areas, and will also allow the team to bring groups of children of all ages to make use of the extensive facilities at The Chris Moyles Stadium.

The stylish 14-seater is the latest in a select team of vehicles featuring the famous Bluebeard mascot to be owned by the Championship side.  The minibus will also be used to transport academy and reserve team players to and from away matches, as occasional transport for staff and directors and for corporate events at the stadium.

Commenting on the donation, Strategic Team Group¹s business development director, Charles Tweed said: "We are delighted to hand over this vehicle and hope that this clearly demonstrates our commitment to providing better access to learning and recreation for the local community."

Andy Prout, Featherstone Rovers chief executive added: "We rely heavily on the generous support received from local businesses and other organisations. One of our main objectives, as a club, is to support the local community in as many ways as possible and by providing transport, thanks to the kind generosity of Strategic Team Group, we can play a bigger role in the day to day lives of those living in and around Featherstone."
