Strategic Team Group (STG) has started construction of the first open market sales homes for Brierley Homes, a company founded and owned by North Yorkshire County Council. Brierley Homes has ambitious plans to deliver new housing across North Yorkshire with any surplus income generated given back to the County Council to support essential services.
STG won a competitive tender to design and build the development of 17 two, three and four-bedroomed homes for open market sale in Thorpe Willoughby, near Selby.
This contract win follows the appointment of STG by Bridge Homes earlier in the year to build 43 new homes in Wakefield. Bridge Homes is a joint venture between Wakefield Council and WDH, also to deliver homes for open market sale.
Jason Green, Director of Operations at STG commented, “We’re delighted to be working with Brierley Homes on their first development. There is growing appetite for public bodies to offer mixed tenure developments and affordable open market sales, helping people on to the housing ladder. STG is now working with more than 20 regional partners to provide much-needed local housing, delivering more than 500 homes across the M62 corridor each year.”
