Strategic Team Group, one of the UK's fastest growing suppliers of building and property solutions, has secured a contract worth approximately £4m with the Learning and Skills Council.

The contract is for an office environment refit programme which will cover the whole of the North East of England, the Yorkshire and Humberside area and the entire East Midlands. Working to comply with modern standards in order to deliver enhanced environments than promote productivity and employee well-being, Strategic Team Group will deliver complete project management.

A high specification will be used throughout and Strategic Team Group will provide all refurbishment services required including: partitioning of space into designated areas, the addition of suspended ceilings, joinery, all mechanical and electrical services and interior design including decoration and floor coverings.

The project is designed to provide improved office environments for the Learning and Skills Council's employees and will involve delivering a quick turnaround at each office location from design and procurement through to construction and completion; whilst maintaining the supply of high quality products and services.

Founded in 2001 the Learning and Skills Council is a non departmental public body which fulfils the roles of the former Further Education Funding Council and Training and Enterprise Councils. Responsible for planning and funding high quality education and training for everyone in England other that those at university, the Learning and Skills Council boasts nine regional offices and a national office based in Coventry. The Learning and Skills Council's budget for 2006-7 is £10.4 billion.
