Strategic Team Group, one of the UK's fastest growing suppliers of building and property solutions, has taken steps towards achieving two of its key business objectives for 2007/8 by selecting Celcon Aircrete products for its latest Bradford-based social housing project.

Worth an estimated £400k, the project will involve the design and build of three new homes at Tennyson Place, Bradford. As the principle contractor, STG will manage the 32 week project from start to finish, providing full life-cycle services throughout the programme.

STG has selected manufacturer, H+H UK's new Celcon Aircrete lightweight thin joint block as the main building material - making the project unique by incorporating this eco-friendly new product; and assisting STG work towards its business objectives of reducing waste on building sites by 10% and using more Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and sustainable products.

Celcon Aircrete blocks are lightweight, load bearing, durable, fireproof and environmentally friendly. Made from ash, the blocks are 80% recyclable and offer excellent thermal and sound insulation. In addition to this the blocks also improve EcoHomes ratings due to low embodied energy during manufacture and transportation.
