Strategic Team Group welcomes 35 new recruits
After posting record results, which saw turnover reach £46.5 million, and with a burgeoning order book in excess of over £50 million, construction and property solutions firm, Strategic Team Group, reveals that it has had a record two months of recruitment. Employing 35 new members of staff, who will work across its network of four regional offices and its head office in Castleford, West Yorkshire. Furthermore, the firm has promoted three key members of staff to senior positions.
The recruitment drive has seen new appointments ranging from decorators and estimators to quantity surveyors, site managers and contracts managers for the firm and its associate business, Strategic Energy. The new employees include young trainees at the start of their career to construction professionals with in excess of 30 years of experience in the industry. Thirteen are based at the firm's head office in Castleford, four in Bristol, one in Glasgow and two in Stockport. A further fifteen have joined renewable energy business, Strategic Energy and range from an operations manager and surveyors to administrators and legal assistant.
In recognition of leadership skills, professionalism and commitment, the firm has made three promotions at senior level. Framework manager and special constable for Humberside Police Force, Matt Clark, has been promoted to national maintenance manager. Matt, who initially trained as a joiner and then went on to complete a Construction Management degree at Leeds College of Building, is now be responsible for managing both planned and reactive maintenance contracts for the firm's four regional offices and developing the maintenance procurement chain.
Jason Green has been promoted from contracts manager to regional business manager for Yorkshire, whilst former contracts manager, Richard Marshall has been appointed regional business manager for the north-west. Both will be responsible for delivering the firm's growth strategy in their respective regions by maximising efficiencies and generating new business opportunities in social housing, rail, education, care/health and commercial.
