NOMINATED Station of the Year (small)

As part of the National Stations Improvement Programme, our work at Halifax Station included a full refurbishment of the waiting area including a new glass façade and entrance doors, remodelling of the station car park, installing a new DDA compliant passenger toilet with baby changing facilities, installing a cycle storage area, new upgraded Customer Information Screens, CCTV and new signage.

The improvements provide passengers with a much enhanced journey experience. Halifax Station caters for more than 5,000 journeys a day and customers will enjoy a more modern look and feel to the building, as well as vast improvements to the waiting areas, passenger information and services.

The project received 'Highly Commended' for Station of the Year (Small) category at the National Rail Awards 2011.
