Charity
Strategic Team Group is committed to improving the lives of others in the wider community and fundraising for charity has become a key part of our culture.
Since 2005, we have chosen a main corporate charity which we have supported throughout our financial year. We also support other charities which come to our attention through the experiences of the people around us, our team members and their families.
Strategic Lions was formed as an umbrella brand for our sporting challenges and includes teams of cyclists, runners, footballers and golfers – all ready to take on the next challenge to raise money for charity.
Our next sporting challenge, 11-13 May 2012
Proceeds from the event will be split between Help for Heroes and EDS, the Ectodermal Dysplasia Society, which is a charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of people whose lives are affected by Ectodermal Dysplasia.
Help for Heroes
When we came to choose this year's main corporate charity, we responded to the 'challenge' and committed to support the Help for Heroes charity. Through the activities of the Strategic Lions, our charity fundraising team initiative, and with the fantastic help and support of friends, suppliers and partners, we aim to raise as much money as we can for members of the armed forces wounded in Britain's current military conflicts.

The charity was formed to help those wounded serving in operational conflicts and is currently raising funds to build five Personnel Recovery Centres across the UK.
Race Across America
On 18th June 2011, the Strategic Lions team set off on the famous Race Across America, a 3,000 mile cycle race and one of the world's toughest endurance challenges, to raise funds for Help for Heroes. The team included Strategic Team Group's managing director, Andy Watson and contracts manager, Stewart Loben plus four elite riders.
The Strategic Lions team won the eight man relay, with a clear two hours and 55 minute lead and narrowly missed out on creating a new world record for the relay team – and raised over £25,000 for the charity!
