Guide Bridge Station - New Ticket Office

STG was contracted to remove an existing glazed shelter at Guide Bridge Station and construct a new ticket office with staff areas, sales counter and ticket hall.

Due to the existing layout and operational nature of the premises, enabling works were required initially to ensure safe day-to-day operations during the works. This included segregating work areas and installing suitable directional/warning signage. Car park extension work was in progress at the time of this scheme under the control of another contractor; STG carefully managed all works in close liaison with this firm to protect the safety of all on site.

A bespoke structure was created to form the new ticket hall, office, staff area and stores. This was constructed from concrete raft foundations, a steel portal frame, external rain-screen cladding and steel profile roofing system. Internally the structure was fitted out and existing areas were refurbished ready for immediate occupation.
