The units were founded from concrete strip with ground floors constructed using concrete block and beam systems. Steelwork frames were constructed to form the building shells, with single-ply flat roofs as specified by the client. Traditional block and brick masonry walling was used for the external walls, with a blockwork party wall dividing the retail units.
External works were also carried out, including the installation of new utility services, formation of parking bays, landscaping and surfacing works.
All service roads and pedestrian access to the Red Cat pub and residential areas remained open during the works and STG created additional car parking for the pub.
