Andrew Watson, Managing Director

Previously operations director at Mansell Maintenance, Andrew was nominated for a RICS Outstanding Attainment Award in 1993. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and has extensive experience in quantity surveying, construction and maintenance on projects to a maximum value of £35 million.

Gary Taylor, Operations Director

Gary has substantial experience in the building industry, particularly in high-quality shop-fitting and refurbishment contracts. Previously, he spent five years in contract management, becoming senior account manager for retail and leisure clients with overall responsibility for a team of 70 colleagues and a turnover of £4.5 million

Charles Tweed, Business Development Director

Charles is the senior member of the team and has substantial industry experience, having previously been managing director of two construction companies and served on the operational board of Mansell plc. His responsibilities at STG include new business development, sales and marketing, quality management, customer care initiatives and charity fundraising.

Ian Bowness, Financial Director

Ian is a qualified accountant and manages the financial operations of Strategic Team Group. Ian has been involved with the founding STG directors since 2000 having been heavily involved in helping to set the company up.
Ian has considerable experience in financial management, having worked in a business advisory capacity with PKF and Beaumonts Chartered Accountants before joining STG.

Stuart Mason, Director, Strategic Team (Scotland) Ltd

Stuart has gained a broad experience working with a number of blue-chip organisations including Asda, Esso, BP, Shell and Taylor Woodrow. He has considerable experience in maintenance and small works especially in roofing, general fabric repairs and refurbishments. Stuart is based in Glasgow and heads up the team in Scotland.

Andrew Coates, Construction Director 

Andrew has over 20 years experience in the construction industry. His experience includes maintenance, new build, quality shop-fitting and refurbishment contracts. After working as a joiner for STG, Andrew was promoted to Contracts Manager, and more recently Construction Director. He has managed new build and refurbishment projects from a value of £20k to over £3m, managing site supervisors and a team of over fifty trades people.
